Bradenton HVAC Blower Project
A few photos from our January - early February 2015 projects. This slideshow highlights our newest volunteer, Tom Jankovich, and the successful restoration and final in-service of the Bradenton HVAC blower.

Passageway Lighting Project

Mid-June 2014 Starting - less than 30% of fixtures functional

Mid-August 2014 -- 100% of ceiling fixtures functional

100% lighting now - really brightens up the place!

Fixture #1 - car entrance/pre-work

Many of the fixtures have water-proof drop-cords, this one did not.

After finding that the feed to all lights was incorrect I tried to locate feed points - all conductors were black and covered with red paint

Fixture #1 - parts cleaned, painted, re-wired and new ballast

Insulation cracked on many fixture cords - bare conductors

A fixture with the water-proof connectors - but still badly dried, cracked insulation

Defective F14T12 magnetic ballasts - model no longer available.

120 VAC was wired into breakers but neutral was not properly wired. Lights were getting 80 volts.

Lighting J-boxes. Most conductors had no markings and all feeders were black.

Some of the J-box wiring not in very good shape and VERY difficult to trace.
